Justine Simms GAICD, MA (Lead – Dist), EMBA (CPL – Dist),

Justine brings expertise in organisational leadership. She loves to build community, strengthen leaders and empower organisations. She is an an experienced C-Suite Officer, General Manager, Consultant and Director, having worked with organisations in Australia, New Zealand and Asia, helping them to be more than they think they can be. Justine works with Strategic Planning, Risk Management, Governance, Compliance and Organisational Development, building culture and community. Justine holds positions on several boards and committees in varying fields.

She has been in ministry for many years, both in the pastorate within Australia and overseas as a consultant to churches, denominations and not-for-profit organisations. Justine is a skilled communicator and has travelled widely with her work and has a special interest in community based organisations. She is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, holds a Master of Arts in Leadership (with Distinction) and an Executive Master of Business Administration – CPL (with Distinction) from Queensland University of Technology.

Hank van der Steen  

Born in the Netherlands, Hank migrated to Australia in 1959. Raised in a reformed tradition Hank was born again in 1967, Serving as a pastor for many years with Christian Life Centre in Brisbane , Hank was also a missionary in Papua New Guinea for seven years. Hank joined the Full Gospel Churches in 1989 and has served as their National Secretary as well as President. Hank is presently a director of Full Gospel. Hank is married to Lenie and together they attend HopePointe in Moodlu, Queensland.

Stuart McClelland  

Raised in a farming community in the western Canadian province of Alberta, Stuart settled in Australia in 1975. Later that year Stuart was converted to Christ through the ministry of his future wife Sarah. Stuart soon settled into a house fellowship that later evolved into the Caboolture Full Gospel Church, where he served as their pastor since 1988 till 2016. Stuart was appointed as the Vice-President of the Full Gospel Churches of Australia in 1989 and served as President from 1999 till 2018. Stuart and Sarah have two adult children, Rebecca and Steven.

Jim Athos

Jim is the senior pastor of Hope Alive, a growing, vibrant church in Sydney. Jim brings a wealth of experience, both in ministry and business. He owns a building company and is married to Georgette. They have two lovely children. Jim is specially interested in mission and pastoral care.




Nathan Thebridge                          
Board member

Nathan Thebridge grew up in the Southwestern suburbs of Sydney, Australia. He is a pastor, blogger and author. He is passionate about building community and inspiring a generation to look for God’s fingerprints in their everyday, ordinary lives. He and his wife, Norma, live in Sydney, with their two children, Rachael and Aaron, and their dog Oliver.
